The Village Hall reopened in 2022 after major building improvements as part of a rejuvenation project.

Drakes Broughton Village Hall is available for hire on a one off basis or for regular hire for clubs and classes. see Contact & Hire page

We are near Pershore in Worcestershire on Walcot Lane directly alongside St. Barnabas Church. The hall is just off the B4084 between Pershore and Junction 7, M5. Also easily accessible from the A44 running between Worcester and Evesham.

Notice of car park closure 27 & 29 May 2025.
Please note the Village Hall and Public Car Parks will be closed for essential maintenance on the morning of Tuesday 27th and all day Thursday 29th May 2025.

We will be arranging for the white lines for the parking spaces at the Village Hall and public car park to be re-instated which will require us to close the car park on the 29th. The car parks are being prepared on the morning on the 27th.  It will be much clearer which spaces are reserved for Village Hall users.  With the growing popularity of the Hall as a venue, we have an increasing problem with people using the Village Hall not being able to park as other people are parking in Village Hall spaces.  Village Hall spaces are those in front of the Hall, along the fence on the right as you enter the car park, along the hedge up to where the tarmac changes colour and at the side of the Hall.

The Public Car Park spaces are level with the children’s play area where the tarmac changes colour.

Please note there are NO PUBLIC TOILETS at the Hall; the toilets are for Hall users only.

GRANT SUPPORT
2022 Rejuvenation Project - Many thanks to Wychavon District Council for supporting us with a Community Legacy Grant of £200,000 and to the Parish Council for their work in securing this and other grants. These grants went towards the costs incurred as part of the rejuvenation and building work at the Hall in 2022. A huge thanks also to the working party who produced the bid, these being: Janet Butterworth, Sheila Boniface, Amanda Tanfield (who pulled the bid together and Maureen Williams.

2025 Purchase of equipment - The purchase of a CCTV system and Smart TVs for the Hall was part funded by the UK Government through the England Prosperity Fund in partnership with Wychavon District Council.

Drakes Broughton Village Hall - Management Structure
Drakes Broughton Village Hall was established under a Trust Document with a written constitution. To reflect changes in the use and management of the Hall a revised Management Structure for the Hall was developed and approved in 2023. In January 2024 the new structure was adopted by means of executing a Counterpart to the Constitution.
A copy of the signed Counterpart may be found here: https://www.dbvillagehall.com/s/DBVH-Nov-2023-counterpart-to-Lease-Trust.pdf

Charity Clothing Bank

We have two large blue clothing banks just inside the car park. If you have any clothes, towels, pairs of shoes etc that you no longer want, then pop them in a plastic bag and drop them into the clothing bank.  There are regular collections, and we receive funds every month from the firm that empties the clothing bank.  If the clothing bank is full then please let me know and bring the clothes back a few days later.  Please DO NOT leave bags of clothes on the ground as these will end up in land fill sites.
